Author Guidelines

The Global Journal of English Language and Literary Research (GJELR) welcomes original, unpublished research in English language, literature, linguistics, cultural studies, translation studies, comparative literature, and interdisciplinary humanities. Manuscripts must not be under consideration elsewhere and should comply with international publication ethics.

Before submission, authors should ensure that:

  • The research is original and ethically conducted.
  • Sources are properly cited.
  • The manuscript follows the journal guidelines.
  • Necessary permissions have been obtained.
  • All authors approve the submitted version.

Manuscript Preparation

  • Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.docx).
  • Use 12-point Times New Roman with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Include an abstract (150–250 words) and 4–6 keywords.
  • Suggested sections: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Findings, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • Maximum length: 8,000 words.

Formatting Requirements

  • Include title, author details, affiliations, corresponding author, and ORCID (if available).
  • Write in clear American or British English consistently.
  • Number all pages consecutively.
  • Tables and figures should be clearly labelled and cited.

Reference Style

Authors should follow the APA referencing style. Include DOI where available, arrange references alphabetically, and ensure all in-text citations appear in the reference list.

Submission Preparation Checklist

✔ The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal, unless clearly explained to the Editor.
✔ The submission file is prepared in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF format.
✔ URLs or DOIs for references are provided wherever available.
✔ The text is single-spaced, uses a 12-point Times New Roman font, applies italics instead of underlining (except for URLs), and includes all tables and figures placed appropriately within the text.
✔ The manuscript follows the stylistic and bibliographic requirements specified in the Author Guidelines.
