Special Issue Policy

Overview

Global Journal of English Language and Literary Research (GJELR) publishes special issues to highlight emerging research areas, contemporary themes, conference proceedings, and significant developments in English language, literature, linguistics, cultural studies, translation studies, and interdisciplinary humanities.

Special Issues provide a focused platform for researchers to publish high-quality scholarly work on a specific theme. Academics and researchers interested in serving as guest editors are invited to submit a special issue proposal to the editor-in-chief for consideration.

Proposal and Approval

A special issue proposal should clearly include the following:

  • The proposed title and theme of the Special Issue.
  • Objectives and academic significance of the topic.
  • Scope and relevance to the journal.
  • Proposed timeline for submission, peer review, and publication.

All proposals are evaluated by the editorial team. Upon approval, Guest Editors receive detailed guidance regarding editorial responsibilities, workflow, and publication ethics.

Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Special Issues are subject to the same rigorous standards as regular submissions. Every manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, academic quality, and research integrity.

Guest editors coordinate the review process and provide recommendations; however, the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection remains the responsibility of the editor-in-chief to ensure impartiality and consistency with the journal's editorial policies.
