Plaigiarism and AI policy

Global Journal of English Language and Literary Research (GJELR) is committed to maintaining the integrity, originality, and transparency of scholarly publications. All submitted manuscripts must comply with the ethical standards recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software, including Turnitin and iThenticate, before they are considered for publication.

Plagiarism Limit

The journal allows a maximum similarity index of 15%. Manuscripts exceeding this limit, or containing copied content, improper citation, duplicate publication, or any form of plagiarism, will be rejected during the editorial review process.

AI Usage Policy

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools is permitted only for language improvement and editorial assistance. Authors must ensure that:

• AI-generated content is carefully reviewed and verified by the authors.
• The originality, accuracy, and authenticity of the manuscript are maintained.
• AI tools are not used to generate misleading, fabricated, falsified, or plagiarized research.
• The acceptable AI-generated content in a manuscript should be less than 5%.

Authors remain fully responsible for the content, accuracy, originality, and ethical compliance of their submitted manuscript.

Misconduct Handling

If plagiarism or unethical AI usage is identified either before or after publication, the journal will take appropriate action in accordance with the COPE guidelines. Depending on the nature and severity of the misconduct, the journal may:

• Reject the manuscript.
• Publish corrections or editorial notices.
• Retract the published article in cases of serious ethical misconduct.
