Global Journal of English Language and Literary Research (GJELR) is dedicated to maintaining the best ethical standards of publishing. In our opinion, academic research must be trusted because of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
This is an assertion on the ethical guidelines we use in publication.

Responsibilities of Authors
Those authors who submit manuscripts to GJELR are supposed to:
Original Work
Send manuscripts that are original and have not been published or are under review elsewhere.
Accurate Representation
Report the current research results without lies, falsification or manipulation of data.
Proper Acknowledgment
Proper citation of all sources and giving other people due credit.
Authorship Transparency
Include only those who have contributed immensely to the manuscript in terms of scholarship.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Identify any financial, institutional or personal conflicts that can affect the research.
Plagiarism, duplication or other unethical research activities will lead to rejection or other corrective actions.
Responsibilities of Editors
- Assessment of submissions by using academic merit and relevance.
- Confidentiality in the process of reviewing.
- Personal or professional conflicts of interest should be avoided.
- Timely and impartial decisions made about publication.
- Dealing with ethical issues fairly and transparently.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Give constructive, objective and professional feedback.
- Strict confidentiality of manuscripts.
- Find other pertinent studies not mentioned by the authors.
- Report any form of conflict of interest before taking review assignments.
Where the reviewers are involved, they should not take advantage of unpublished materials.
Peer Review Policy
GJELR is peer-reviewed with the help of a double-blind approach in order to be unbiased.
- Authors and reviewers also remain anonymous.
- Manuscripts undergo scrutiny regarding originality, scholarly contribution, clarity, and relevance.
- The editorial decisions are identified by the reviewers and editorial judgment.
The decisions that may be made are acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
Handling Ethical Misconduct
The journal will investigate suspected instances of misconduct:
- Engage in adequate and unbiased research.
- Request an explanation from the concerned parties.
- Take corrective action where it is needed.
Some of the corrective actions entail rejection, correction of publications, withdrawal or restriction of future submissions.
